Liz Claiborne Inc. focused on college students and surveyed that community about its thoughts and attitudes toward relationship violence. The Women's Work program also sponsored workshops called "Relationships in the Real World" on three college campuses—Washington University in St. Louis, University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and University of Washington in Seattle—designed to reach young women and men as they began to make critical life decisions about relationships and to teach them how to communicate effectively and avoid abusive situations.

Women's Work also used artwork designed by an employee for a new T-shirt and mug, that year's limited-edition fundraising items, and held the second annual Charity Shopping Day at all Liz Claiborne Inc. stores nationwide.
