Liz Claiborne Inc. Designs Commemorative T-Shirt

Proceeds Donated to San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium

SAN FRANCISCO (September 10, 1992) - Anyone concerned about domestic violence can now join the fight and help raise awareness of the issue by wearing a commemorative T-shirt designed by Liz Claiborne, Inc. All proceeds from the sale of the shirts go directly to The San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium.

The front of the shirt features a specially designed, bold, red and black graphic logo displaying the message, "Stop the War at Home; Domestic Violence is a Crime." The back displays the Liz Claiborne Women's Work logo. The shirt is white, made of 100% cotton and comes in size extra large. Each shirt costs $14 (includes tax and shipping). The T-shirt is being offered in conjunction with a ground-breaking public awareness campaign Liz Claiborne, Inc. has embarked on in an effort to do something about domestic violence. The campaign will be unveiled in San Francisco on Thursday, September 10 and is part of Liz Claiborne, Inc.'s Women's Work program, a national series of community-based art projects designed to heighten awareness of -- and encourage positive change on -- issues of particular concern to women.

To order, consumers should make checks payable to The San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium and mail to: The San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium, c/o The Women's Foundation, 3543 18th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Payment must accompany each order.
